Enter a luminous landscape featuring Marri Dyin, meaning ‘Great Woman’ in Eora language.  Experience this incredible moment as she weaves her captivating story…

Illuminating the Crown Street Mall with her six-metre high splendour, Marri Dyin is the magnificent creative centrepiece for Nights on Crown 2019.  Her presence is a symbol of the coming together of people on the land of our oldest continually living culture.  Each evening she will perform and move through the landscape, inviting children to sit with her and share their hopes and dreams for the future…

Erth Visual & Physical Inc and Wollongong City Council present Marri Dyin (‘Great Woman’), Erth’s six metre tall puppet, in a unique performance ‘Ngaramura’ (‘See The Way’ in Dharawal language).

Local Schools were invited to contribute to the Story Tree Project by creating stories and illustrations based on a key word supplied to them, such as, Shark, Banksia, Sandstone, Octopus…

Marri Dyin was created by Erth Visual & Physical Inc, Mandylights, Jacob Nash and James Brown.  Marri Dyin was originally commissioned by the Barangaroo Delivery Authority for exhibition in Sydney Australia in 2018.
